Tonight's UW drubbing is still puzzling me.

Unexpectedly I got the message "Your failure has displeased Grenth", which I took some comfort as being at least novel, compared to "A reaper has died etc" which appears with monotonous regularity about 90 minutes into each of my runs.

I was doing "Wraithful Spirits" (there were many tortured souls and the Mayor still alive).

I had only done 4HM, "Servants", and "Imprisoned Spirits" (one of these is usually the source of my difficultly). I had taken all the rewards. I was in NM with 7 heros. I hadn't taken "Escort". No reapers had died.

From the Wiki it says Frozenwind is invulnerable after "Servants" is complete, so I presume an Imprisoned Soul must have died, but I can't figure out why as the Bone Pits were completely clear (except Chained Souls, obviously).
I left a few mindblade spectres knocking around the Chaos Planes and some smite crawlers in the Wastes, but can't see how these would had any effect.

Glitch? Or can Spectres get all the way to Imprisoned Souls? Can Chained souls kill them? Or maybe Frozenwind isn't invulnerable? Anybody have a similar experience? In any case, tomorrow, I'm killing absolutely everything.

There are 2 kinds of tortured spirits. The kind that turns hostile, and the ones popped by killing graspings. If the 2nd kind dies out, you fail regardless of mayor being alive.

I thought they were all the same. That explains it. I went up the hill first, which I have never done before. Another noob error to add to the ever-increasing list. Thanks.
